In September 2015, the factory specially set up a team to set up a project team to fully kick off production preparation. On the basis of comprehensively inheriting the fine tradition of Dongfeng manufacturing, it absorbs the advanced manufacturing technology of VOLVO. Based on the principle of lean investment, we have independently implemented the systematic design of automation, flexibility, informationization and green manufacturing in the whole process of project manufacturing.
In April 2017, the project began to implement substantial industrialization. The first equipment was installed in April 2018. Today, more than 100 equipments have been installed and commissioned. During the construction of DDi11, the production line of large-scale industrial robots and the application of new processes have further enhanced our processing and assembly process assurance capabilities.
DDi11 engine
On July 27, 2018, the first DDi11 engine was successfully tested on the production line. It also experienced a total of 106 test installations in 26 batches. The quality of the whole process was validated and controlled.
Today, after four years of unremitting efforts, we have finally built an efficient DDi11 engine manufacturing position that includes 4C machining and assembly assembly and testing.
The official delivery of the first batch of 83 orders for the DDi11 engine indicates that the DDi11 engine will officially enter the fast lane for mass production and delivery. For those who like Dongfeng commercial vehicles, there is another reliable, efficient and economical power to choose from!
