According to the experience of the project, we found that companies sometimes use RFID with existing QR codes. This method does not maximize the benefits of acquiring RFID. In fact, it does not usually play the role of RFID. Worse, this approach may magnify the problem. If the company uses RFID as a way to improve the existing process, then the problem can be solved effectively.

For example, in an RFID system with an inventory accuracy rate of only 75%, about 1% of the cases are caused by unlabeled or bar code, 0.3% is caused by the label encoding, and the biggest 21% problem is the item. There are 2 tags because the employee is not aware that the supplier has affixed the tag to the item and therefore stuck a second RFID tag. No failed label was found in this example, and only 0.5% of the label could not be read at once. If the supplier can correctly mark, the retailer can eliminate the secondary mark, then the accuracy rate will rise to more than 95%.

In addition, the use of RFID technology will almost always involve process changes, which means that employees need to be trained to use new technologies and follow new processes. It is not a big challenge for companies to develop control measures and check whether employees adhere to these processes. In most cases, because RFID can make work easier and more convenient, employees are very fond of this technology, and they will be more focused on serving customers, but companies that do not have training are likely to have problems in this area.

In summary, RFID is a very powerful tool. In order to use it better, employees need to be trained so that they can learn to use tools and follow the process to make them more useful.
