CITIC Heavy Industries builds a new hard rock boring machine to be tested in Luoyang

The new type of excavation equipment independently developed by CITIC Heavy Industry – China's first 5 m diameter open-type, trackless transport hard rock roadheader, will be assembled at the end of the production site and will soon be transferred to the linkage test.
The roadheader is mainly used for the construction of high-speed railways, expressways and diversion tunnels in rock areas. CITIC Heavy Industries is relying on hard rock boring machine R&D platforms and industrialization bases to solve key technical problems such as the overall design, hydraulic propulsion and guidance of this major equipment through independent innovation. This type of hard rock boring machine is expected to be mass-produced in Luoyang.
