1. Product Description
The centrifugal separator is composed of two main parts: the separation mechanism and the auxiliary mechanism. The separation structure features a drum that is hollow and shaped like a frustum. The inner surface of the drum has a slope ranging from 30 to 50 degrees, constructed using steel plate flange welding, cast aluminum, or glass fiber reinforced plastics. The drum is fixed to the axle by a chassis and spins along with it. The auxiliary mechanism includes feeding devices, ore discharge devices, flushing devices, and control systems.
2. Working Principle
Ore pulp is delivered through two locations to the inner wall of the drum while it is spinning at high speed. As the pulp rotates with the drum, heavier minerals settle on the inner wall and spin with the drum, while lighter particles move at a different speed. During this process, lighter particles are discharged from the drum. After three minutes, the pulp distributor moves away from its normal position to stop feeding. Once tailings are discharged, the distributor prepares to collect concentrate. A high-pressure flushing water valve automatically activates to wash the concentrate off the inner wall, then turns off automatically. After all concentrate is discharged, both the feeding and discharging distributors return to their original positions, starting another cycle of separation.
