Ball screw assemblies can be lubricated to improve wear resistance and transmission efficiency. Lubricants are divided into two major categories: lubricating oils and greases. For lubricating oils, machine oil, 90-180 grade turbine oil, or 140 grade spindle oil can be used. Lithium-based greases are suitable for lubricating.
