Application:
  The TR-OTR-1901 is based on the coulometric sensor method and is ideal for measuring oxygen transmission rate (OTR) in flexible films, sheets, and packaging. It can test three specimens simultaneously with independent results.

Principle:
Film:
The specimen is placed between the upper and lower chambers. The upper chamber is purged with oxygen, while the lower chamber is purged with nitrogen. Due to the oxygen concentration gradient, oxygen molecules permeate through the specimen into the nitrogen side, where they are carried to the coulometric sensor, generating a proportional signal. This allows for the calculation of oxygen transmission rate and permeability coefficient.
Package:
The package is mounted on the lower chamber. The outside is exposed to air or pure oxygen, while the inside is purged with nitrogen. Oxygen permeates through the package wall, is carried to the coulometric sensor, and the oxygen transmission rate is calculated from the sensor signal.
