These photos were taken around 1950 by an aspiring photographer with the last name Augustyn. Unfortunately, I don’t have the first name of the person who captured these moments. The fire occurred on the Northeast corner of Diversey and Pulaski, on the same lot where the Walgreens currently stands, next to Engine 91’s station. The blaze was at the Rainbo Lanes Bowling Alley. The closest fire truck to the building is Truck 35, while the one with its ladder raised appears to be Truck 13, though it's a bit hard to read. The water tower visible in the image is Tower #2. I hope you find these historical photos interesting and enjoy them.
