These photos were taken around 1950 by an aspiring photographer whose last name was Augustyn, though I don’t know the first name. The images capture a fire at the Rainbo Lanes Bowling Alley, located on the northeast corner of Diversey and Pulaski—right next to the Walgreens and near Engine 91’s station.
The closest fire truck to the building is Truck 35, and the one with its ladder raised appears to be Truck 13, though it's hard to read clearly. The water tower in the background is Tower #2. These are fascinating historical moments captured by an unknown photographer, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
