Air Cargo Size Regulations

The weight of the goods is calculated based on gross weight and the unit of measurement is kilograms. Weights less than 1 kilogram are rounded. When the weight of the goods on each air waybill is less than 1 kg, it is calculated as 1 kg. Valuable items are calculated based on actual gross weight, and the unit of calculation is 0.1 kg.

Non-widebody aircraft carry goods, the weight of each piece of goods generally does not exceed 80 kg, and the volume generally does not exceed 40 × 60 × 100 cm. The weight of cargo carried by wide-body aircraft is generally not more than 250 kilograms each, and the volume generally does not exceed 100 x 100 x 140 cm. For goods exceeding the above weight and volume, the carrier can determine the maximum weight and volume of the goods that can be accepted for shipment based on the type of aircraft and loading and unloading equipment at the airport of departure and destination.

The sum of the length, width and height of each item must not be less than 40 centimetres.

More than 6000 cubic centimeters per kilogram of goods is light foam. The light-bubble cargo is weighed at 1 kg per 6000 cubic centimeters.
