“Augmented on the top of the gold list, lived up to the hard work of the year, and everyone was more auspicious at this time, and everything was looking for a big high pass!” August 8, the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems, the day Bosch Diesel Systems China President Wang Weiliang, general manager of Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd., used a eulogy to describe the achievements of Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. over the past ten years and expressed his confidence in the future development of the company.

On August 8, 2004, Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. was established by Bosch Group and Wuxi Weifu High-tech Co., Ltd. with the approval of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. At that time, the registered capital was US$200 million. A total of US$41 million was added in 2013-2014 to further expand the product range and strengthen local development capabilities. After ten years of development, the company has formed a complete local customer service capability. With the accumulation of clean diesel technology, it has helped various types of vehicles covering both road vehicles and non-road vehicles achieve energy conservation and emission reduction targets at ever-lower costs.

Continue to deepen localization strategy

Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. has continued to promote the localization process in China in an all-round manner. Currently, it has completed a complete localization service network covering R&D, production, distribution, sales, and after-sales services. During the ten years of development, local production The number of mechanical parts has gradually increased, and the proportion of local procurement has continued to expand. At the same time, the company pays great attention to the training of localized talents, and the number of local talents in the incumbent management positions has continuously increased.

Through a perfect localization industry chain, the company can develop and produce the most suitable products for local customers according to market demand. From single components to common rail systems, commercial vehicle tail gas aftertreatment systems and gas power systems, to turnkey solutions that can meet specific customer needs can be covered. The vehicles manufactured by domestic OEMs and equipped with Bosch Clean Diesel technology can not only meet increasingly stringent domestic emission standards, but also are exported to overseas markets with stringent emission regulations in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Western Europe.

In response to the national energy conservation and emission reduction strategic goals, the upgrading of the emission standards has enabled the domestic automotive market to continuously release the demand for clean diesel technology. In order to better serve the energy and emission reduction needs of the industry and the market, the second plant established by Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co., Ltd. in Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone will be put into production in October 2014.

Resolutely control the technical route

Prior to the establishment of the company in 2004, Bosch's main products in the Chinese market were mechanical injectors and mechanical pumps. After the establishment of the joint venture company in 2004, China was still in the diesel country 1, country 2, and phase 2 standards. The company firmly gave up mechanical equipment and produced only electronic control systems, which were in line with international mainstream technologies.

Currently, products developed by Bosch Diesel Systems for the Chinese market include CRS2-14, CRS1-16, CRS1-18 for passenger vehicles, CRSN3-18, CRSN3-20 for commercial vehicles, and DenoXtronic6 exhaust gas aftertreatment system. 5. Common rail system injection pressure can reach 1800 bar, fuel injected directly into the combustion chamber through the injector, the process using ECU electronic control unit monitoring.

The DenoXtronic system can reduce nitrogen oxides in the exhaust by 80% and reduce engine fuel consumption by 5%-10%.

Cultivate local R&D capabilities

In order to ensure better on-site technical support capabilities and rapid feedback to the market, Bosch Diesel Systems invested 50 million Euros in 2005 to establish the Bosch China Diesel Technology Center. After the expansion of the center in 2011, it had seven engine test benches, three chassis dynamometers, and 53 development and reliability test benches.

At present, the technology center accommodates more than 480 engineers for local R&D work. The business capabilities completely cover the engineering design and application fields, and can independently provide product development including system and product development, emission optimization, vehicle calibration, and reliability verification. The products developed by the local team not only served the Chinese market but also achieved a good market performance in the global market.

The future of diesel technology

Wang Weiliang believes that in many ways, the performance of diesel technology in the Chinese market will be optimistic. First of all, diesel oil products will be improved. From January 1st, 2015 and January 1st, 2018, the country will begin to supply 4 and 5 diesel oils respectively. Second, the supply of diesel fuel is getting more and more abundant. According to relevant data from Chinese oil companies, China now exports 20% of diesel oil a year. In addition, starting from the Beijing 5 standard in Beijing, the diesel system will be equipped with a particulate trap (DPF). "The degree of cleanliness will exceed the gasoline engine," Wang Weiliang pointed out.

Wang Weiliang also stated: “We will continue to commit ourselves to the application of clean diesel technology in the Chinese automotive market. We will help domestic vehicles achieve better fuel consumption and emission performance through the provision of lower fuel consumption and emission product technologies, and achieve energy savings for the Chinese automotive industry. Row of goals to make greater contributions."
