According to foreign media Autoevolution report, Infiniti has confirmed that it will mass-produce the new Infiniti QX30 model to enhance the overall performance of Infiniti.
Andy Palmer, Director of Product Planning at Infiniti, posted the news on his Twitter homepage. The new Infiniti QX30 models compete with entry-level luxury models such as Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, Lexus NX and other entry-level luxury models such as Mercedes-Benz B-Class, BMW 2 Series and Lexus CT200h.
Previously, Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti announced that they will jointly produce a new compact model at the Aguascalientes plant in Mexico. The new Infiniti QX30 is one of them. Infiniti will reduce its capacity in the UK, placing most of its compact models in Mexico, while the UK is only responsible for the production of Infiniti's models in Europe.
