Recently, there is a saying that everyone seems to have some opinions on the jade carving master group. The basic reason is that the current jade carving masters are mainly folk artists. It is generally believed that there is no academic theory of the arts, causing them to have congenital defects in artistic creation. Everyone even advocated that folk artists couldn't comment on masters in the future. This argument is somewhat biased privately. It needs to be viewed dialectically.

First, Nanyang jade carving itself is an art from the folk. Like Nanyang Han painting, it does not have to be self-deprecating because all superb artistic forms originally originated from labor.

According to the materialist point of view, not only jade carvings, but also all kinds of arts originate from the people, including the theory that is also spread out in the folks. The so-called school-teaching teachings just summed up these mature experiences into so-called written prints for presentation. If you don't have experience, first learn from folk masters and in turn ridicule folk artists. This is hardly worth it. Materialism believes that art is produced in labor, and the wisdom of the working people is endless. Why is it that folk jade masters are now disdainfully stigmatized, and then they must be affixed with alternative labels? ! Objectively speaking, the level of folk art is indeed high and low, but there is no lack of talented people. Their works are eclectic, formally lively and interesting, full of wisdom. The works of those famous artists are even more extraordinary, and they have learned the powerful atmosphere of heaven and earth. Nowadays, most of the jade carving masters who are criticized and assessed are civil statuses. But what about China now that there is a standard jade carving university? The direction of establishing a jade carving university is good, but it is also being explored. The preparatory university jade carving profession is not as rich as the experience of a private master studio. And these universities also have to invite private masters to give lectures. why? The arts come from labor and there are no actual talents in jade sculptures in colleges that do not work without labor. Dissatisfied, please try two years, some folk artists are standing behind the tens of generations of intelligent predecessors, and their generations of true rivalry, even if you are poor in your personal wisdom, you only reached a small class. Of course, you can also explore with the help of sculpture and painting. But Oriental art has its own mystique. There are some core things that you can't see in an arrogant manner (for example, if you try to pick up a small-caliber quadrilateral vessel, remember to level it), so compared to the masters, you should not be too proud of being too early and falling behind. Half of sweating problems!

We do not talk about emperors today, let alone talk about jade carvings. The words may not be comprehensive, but there is his truth. However, after all, the domestic jade carving industry association is relatively short. The initial situation was complicated and it took a few years to sort it out. In recent years, the province's jade carving skill contest is live-style, on the spot production. There will be more and more of this form. The emphasis on making talent does not refer to the agenda. It is everyone's heart disease. We can foresee that the production talents will be more and more valued by associations at all levels. After the phenomenon of fake masters will gradually disappear, the various understandings of the jade carving industry will continue to mature, and industry guidance work and assessment work will gradually be standardized. There will be a big change in the year, but also a pure innocence in the field of jade carving. Like everyone, wait and see.

Fourth, in summary, the folk jade masters who are said to be diligent and fast-handed, if they in turn absorb the nutrition of modern art (in fact, everyone is not idle at the moment.) They use the supreme heritage to pass the study and study abroad. Those useful tricks in these art forms will soon reach the point where the schools send these foreign experts to take the folk masters.
