We’ve received additional details regarding the 4th new Spartan/Crimson 103' aerial, which is expected to be assigned to Truck 56. In addition, we’ve obtained images of two of the latest units that are still without official company numbers. These units, labeled E337 and E338, are both designated as ALS (Advanced Life Support) companies and are currently in the process of being prepared for service.

The first image shows a brand-new Chicago Fire Department Spartan/Crimson 103' aerial ladder, marked with shop number E337, waiting for its official assignment. It appears to be in the final stages of preparation before being deployed into service. The second photo features the second unit, E338, also a 103' RM ALS truck, and it’s similarly awaiting its placement within the department’s fleet.

A third image captures both E337 and E338 together, showing them in their pre-assignment state. This gives us a rare look at these new units before they officially join the ranks of the Chicago Fire Department. With the upcoming assignment of the 4th aerial to Truck 56, this marks another step in the department’s ongoing efforts to modernize and expand its emergency response capabilities.
