According to reports, ContiTech , a subsidiary of the Continental Group, announced that the company has acquired two German blow molding companies and will create a technical center for the blow molding business in the future.

ContiTech recently acquired Innovative Technologie and Präzisionstechnik Geithain (PTG), headquartered in Germany. The two companies were formerly ContiTech's long-term cooperating suppliers, employing a total of approximately 80 employees.

Joachim Geimer, head of ContiTech's intake system business unit, said: “The market for plastic pressurized air hoses and clean air hoses is growing rapidly. By acquiring Inotec, we will obtain previously outsourced production processes and tools.”

Inotec specializes in the manufacture of tools and special machinery for blow molding technology. Its services also include prototype construction and sampling. PTG is an Inotec supplier specializing in the production of special machinery and blow molding tool parts .

ContiTech said that in the future, the production of its newly acquired blow molding tools and product sampling operations will be concentrated in Kohren-Sahlis, Germany.
