On Sunday morning, the Maywood Fire Department responded to a significant fire at a vacant three-story building located at 907 S. 3rd Ave. The incident escalated quickly, prompting the department to pull a Box Alarm due to heavy flames in the attic and on the top floor. Both Maywood and Melrose Park fire crews were dispatched and worked together to contain the blaze.
