From the perspective of resource reserves, the mother of gasoline and diesel oil is decreasing. Judging from the world's oil reserves and consumption, it is generally believed that by 2050 or so, the world's oil will be consumed, that is, oil can only maintain human needs for 40 years. According to the conservative estimate of the US Geological Survey in 2000, the world’s reserves of natural gas are 436 trillion cubic meters, which can sustain human needs for 70 years. More optimistic research data suggests that at the present stage, human exploration and exploitation of natural gas is relatively limited compared to petroleum. If humans spend as much gas as oil on the development of natural gas, then natural gas can guarantee at least 200 years of human energy. demand. Regardless of conservative or optimistic estimates, natural gas is a more sustainable energy source. Recently, the United States began to extract shale gas production to further increase the use of natural gas, and the recent short-term decline in international oil prices is only a temporary behavior of oil exporters for market share, increase production, has nothing to do with the long-term trend.

LNG vehicles have low operating costs. The market price of LNG is only half or even less than that of gasoline and diesel. LNG's domestic and overseas sources are more diverse than oil, so in the foreseeable future, LNG prices will continue to be more than 40% cheaper than gasoline and diesel. This advantage is even more pronounced for commercial vehicles that carry long-distance transport and buses that run back and forth in the city. LNG engine production costs are not much higher than gasoline and diesel engines, not to mention expensive hybrid and pure electric engines. If the emission standards are upgraded to China Five, the price of diesel vehicles will be comparable to that of LNG vehicles. If they are upgraded to State VI, the relative price advantage of LNG vehicles will become more apparent. Therefore, the higher the emission standards, the more favorable it will be to LNG vehicles.

Compared to diesel vehicles, LNG vehicles are cleaner and more environmentally friendly. LNG itself is a clean energy source. Even without treatment, LNG can be directly burned in the air to reach the fourth level. This is beyond the reach of diesel. It can be said that the promotion of LNG commercial vehicles to serve two purposes, can reduce the user's concerns about the cost of the car, but also ease the pressure of urban air pollution.
