Quality assurance is a critical part of the process. The pipes are inspected using non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection, and visual checks to detect any defects or imperfections that could compromise performance.
Surface treatments may also be applied, including phosphate coatings or other protective layers, to increase corrosion resistance and extend the life of the pipe. Marking and identification are done next, with each pipe labeled with details like size, material grade, heat number, and manufacturer information.
Finally, the finished products are packaged and shipped to the field or customer location. Proper packaging ensures the pipes arrive undamaged and ready for use.
Each manufacturer may have slight variations in their process depending on the type of tubing, application, and available equipment.
